A generous gift from the Philadelphia Pickwick Club. Yesterday we took Jim and Susan Baraldi to Portsmouth to see the statue. Philadelphia is where the first ever statue of Dickens sits.

Such a lovely evening yesterday, at Cutler’s Hall in #London, for the 50th anniversary of the Dickens #Pickwick Club (which was founded by my grandfather’s cousin, Cedric #Dickens). Great to see so many family members as well as #Dickensian friends from all over the globe.
