@kein_spass_hier@montillionaire@TheOmniLiberal@Timcast So he admitted that he later discovered it was Russian money? That’s the whole point and opposite to what Destiny is claiming. Tim found out during the indictment. Destiny is lying
@montillionaire@TheOmniLiberal@Timcast Ok. Who cares. Destiny’s claim is false or unproven. Makes Destiny a bad witness or judge of character if he misrepresents something.
@montillionaire@TheOmniLiberal@Timcast Yes or maybe his people looked into it and gave him the okay stupidly or the source was hidden. Your question still doesn’t address the fact that nothing in the provided screenshot proves or indicates that Tim Pool knew it was (nefarious) Russian money, like Destiny is stating.
@BasOMatic@mattyglesias But you’re just talking about his politics. Is what he said false? Can you say the quotes he used were false or out of context?
@BasOMatic@mattyglesias And just because Tik may not be a liberal (based on your assertion) does not mean he’s wrong about his claims. All you’re saying is “nu uh. You’re an idiot”, which means nothing to me.
@BasOMatic@mattyglesias Okay. I was wrong that he was a liberal based on stuff I’ve seen by him, even though you’re making an empty assertion that’s he’s not a liberal without any evidence. No big deal. All you’ve done is deny that Hitler was left wing in any way, and then double down.
@BasOMatic@mattyglesias You sound like an angry person and you’re acting like a jerk. I hope you’re okay. It’s fine if you’re not going to watch the video, but I think you’re just being reactionary for no reason.
The National Socialists created a “plant community” (Betriebsgemeinschaft) headed by a “plant leader” (Betriebsführer), with a hierarchy of state employees, and the workers became the “followers” (Gefolgschaft). The idea of employers and employees had been abolished.
These positions came into force on the 20th of January, 1934, with the passing of the “Gesetz zur Ordnung der nationalen Arbein” (AOG; Law on the Organisation of National Labour). This provided the Factory Code of Rules.
“The preamble [of the Factory Code] stated that the “leaders” and “followers” of these plants now constituted a “factory community sharing a common destiny”, who were to work together “in faithful comradeship and mutual trust” - for the good of the factory, for Germany and its economy and according to the principle of “common weal before private gain”. Every employee should carry out his allotted tasks conscientiously and in a disciplined manner, showing a “joyful commitment to the National Socialist state and its Führer” as well as “unwavering loyalty toward the plant community, the Volksgemeinschaft [national community] and the German fatherland”. The following paragraphs then outlined the regulations concerning hiring, working hours, work habits, prevention of accidents, wages, vacation, infringement of the Factory Code, and generalities.” - Lindner, "Inside IG Farben,” p72.
Businesses in the Third Reich were, therefore, not “private” in any sense of the word. In fact, they looked very similar to the way the businesses were taken over in the Soviet Union (as Temin points out in his “Soviet and Nazi Economic Planning in the 1930s.”). Many previous business owners still remained as ‘Betriebsführer’, but they now had to toe the Party line. The employees couldn’t change jobs without state approval, because the state was in charge of the economy. The economy was ‘forcefully synchronised’ with the state (a policy called “Gleichschaltung”).
And yet, most historians (including Lindner, whom I’ve just quoted) continue to falsely conclude that this was “capitalism”. Their evidence shows one thing, and their conclusions state another. Why is that?
@BasOMatic@mattyglesias I know you won’t watch the video but it’s well researched. The creator is a liberal. Nazis being socialist doesn’t automatically make socialism bad but that shouldn’t cause denial of one’s ideology.
@sleepy_devo “Gerrymandering” is the only way for districts to be set up. It’s always political. There can never be an “independent” commission for districting cause someone has to pick those commissioners. Who gaf if politicians are hypocrites when they are all hypocrites about many things.
