So thanks to @AnnaClarke_____ I am experimenting with Bluesky in the hope it will take off in the way Mastodon didn't for me as a user, parallel posts for now, transitioning when/if feasible https://t.co/z6B9f7JcA9

Just finished talking about Housing First and stopping homelessness associated with complex needs and offending/prison, now hearing about Housing First in Italy and Spain @HousingFirstHub
And here's a handy graphic, the UK shows what bad planning looks like, setting an example for others to not follow (we remain optimistic that Labour will get going on this soon, 30% more homelessness money for English LAs is a good sign)
A reminder that the deadline to submit offers of papers to @HSA_UK conference #HSA2025 is 29th November. Time to start getting your ideas down on paper now! https://t.co/j3UPvbsXlV
Next session at the @HousingFirstHub conference on managing the shift from shelters to Housing First in Denmark and Finland chaired by @CescaAlbanese@crisis_uk
Excellent thought-provoking keynote from @JKaakinen at @HousingFirstHub conference in Dublin.
Just 1 takeaway. We must look more into the potential of collective/shared forms of housing to deliver #HousingFirst while respecting the choice of tenant.
One of my last tweets, I'm off to Bluesky, but happy to be attending the @HousingFirstHub conference today and tomorrow at Dublin Castle where I'm participating in a workshop on criminal justice and a panel on Housing First in Europe

Does Gen Z have it tougher than previous generations? https://t.co/8rAZA2CvBZ Almost one third of 25-27 yr olds live with parents and the barriers to independent housing are rising and rising, an impossible situation, there has to be more investment in social housing.
Quite. Let's be careful with a lot of (well intentioned) oversimplification and individual pathology (and not really acknowledging the evidence base or the huge efforts of everyone already actively working to end homelessness) from people who wear shiny things on their heads.
Homelessness isn't only rough sleeping.
The legal definition of homelessness is lacking a secure place where you are entitled to live or can reasonably stay.
This includes sofa surfing, living in a B&B, hostel or other temporary accommodation. #Homewards
