@VargasKevi23363 My thoughts were. You didn't need it and you never asked for it so your dad never gave it to you. Had you needed it, had you asked, he would've helped like he had helped your brother (who obviously did ask, probably more than he should have).
@MamaCAllen When you roll up to seminary and the entire stake of missionaries are going for a morning run together...or our stake also had the young men and elders getting together to play volleyball in the church gym once a week last summer. fun things to see.
@ThrillaRilla369 I'd likely be in better shape because I'd run and/or go to the gym more. I'd also spend time volunteering in the community. I also would've had more kids. And I'd be a crunchy ingredients only kind of household and cook more, gardening, backing, canning. Yup.
@GamerFunni@omgsidewalks This is where we remember "spaghetti" is the noodle, not the sauce (Education item #2 for some). But can we be honest about the fact that 9 out of 10 times that word brings visions of tomato sauce covered noodles? But yes, you are right. My husband would agree, he hates red sauce
@omgsidewalks Dude...you can't have spaghetti without tomatoes, but because tomatoes can be argued as a fruit...salad, green beans, carrots, broccoli, a medley of roasted veggies...all good options.
Stop choosing to be blind to or justify the problems on your side of the fence. Stand with the growing number of people that are tired of being pawns and see both sides for the awfulness they both represent. Claim independent thought.
No. It is not the Prophet/Apostle/Pope/Priests/Bishop/Pastor etc.'s job to call out politics in a way to suit your narrative...they are to preach the teaching of God, Jesus Christ, and the Bible and call for all to be better, regardless of which side of the political fence.
It's so frustrating to watch people point fingers and fail to look in the mirror. To point fingers at the "opposing view" and fail to see both sides are playing with the same awfully counterfeit coin. The more I see the happier I am to be unaffiliated with either political party.
@GrandpaJoeSux Aloha and Talofa are both used in my stake and ward. One of our stake leaders is Polynesian and one of ward families is indigenous samoan. Both are inviting a spirit of love.
@jesse_k_fox When counseling with the bishop on tithing he used those same exact words. "10% of your increase"...also, a bishop shouldn't be asking for W2s but can offer help, it's all based on merit, "are you a full tax payer?" Answer yes or no. Judgement is completely between you and God.
@LDS_Liberty Honestly, when you realize there's often a story with many tattoos, even if it's "it was part of the flash sale and I just wanted to get something", "I got this in jail", "this is my military/family unit"... it leads to interests or mantras and I just like getting to know people.
@LDS_Liberty My husband and I considered tattoos at one point. Did the artwork and kept adding and that's when we realized "this is how people end up with full sleeves!" His was gonna be on his upper thigh, and mine was going to be one my rib. and then we both chickened out. Still fascinated.
@sister_slay I keep hoping she will realize that she isn't fooling any of the people she claims to love and respect. That she's hurting them. She's hurting herself...but I guess...what do I know? - the daughter of a mother that was just like TFP.
@sister_slay I will continue to believe that people can and do change. I will continue to believe that she can find real happiness when she truly does turn her heart and mind toward God and lives in complete honesty. She has to actually want to let go of the toxic habits....
