Hello! SEPARATION is on DVD and VOD today!
I'm so proud of this personal film, that all of us put parts of our lives into.
Here is one of my favorite shots from the movie, an NYC parent trying to navigate adulthood, and a similar, completely unrelated image from a few years ago.
This is such an intimate and honest look at the full picture of a life in the arts through the generations.
As someone who also grew up with NYC theater parents on Riverside Drive, the old footage of sledding by the Soldiers & Sailors monument straight up annihilated me. See it!
The doc I made about our family opens today in New York and Los Angeles. Happy to finally share it in theaters. Hope you can check it out.

@johnlevenstein I don't want to ruin the magic of that clip, but I tend to agree. It's a testament to his instincts as a producer, though. I think he was always trying to get good footage for the movies, even if it meant sacrificing authenticity.
@feraljokes Also he assigned that kind of meaning to things like Waffle House and In-N-Out. He was specifically saying to "just enjoy" your proverbial burger. She doesn't know what she's talking about.
