The most frustrating part about games like these is the impact on the fans. We’ll have 100k+ in the stands next week and a team that doesn’t care.
We deserve more as a fanbase than the product we are receiving

Not that you need a PR team. You seem to be a “no one tells me what to do” guy.
But, I do think people were dumb enough to believe this charade of yours was all about “saving college sports” until the last 72 hours or so.
Now you just seem like a rich dude breaking stuff cause you can.
This is all you need to know about the state of affairs. Cody Campbell says “I’m doing everything I can to fix it.” Who asked him to fix anything? The only reason he’s in the mix is because he is a billionaire willing to spend a lot of lineup to “fix” things for his alma mater. He and Texas Tech could say they will not give Sorsby a scholarship or any NIL money. Don’t hold your breath. They don’t want to fix anything, they want to break everything. And Congress is more than happy to do his bidding at the expense of a workable solution.
Reaction from lawyer Tom Mars, a veteran of NCAA cases: "In 40 years as a lawyer, I've never been as shocked and surprised by a court ruling." That sums the reaction on the college sports landscape today.
Hocutt should wear a scarlet letter for the rest of his career. No school should ever consider hiring him.
Same for McGuire.
Anything Campbell tries to accomplish in Congress or elsewhere should be shot down.
If the courts are a joke and you care at all about this game, police it yourselves.
Banish this dumb recurring Boomer lecture. People aged 20-50 aren't struggling with costs because of lattés and avocado toast. College costs 10X what it did for our parents. Average house price up 60% in 6 years. Health insurance doubled since ACA debacle. All policy choices.
There's a reason that the 00s feel like the last real decade. Something happened in 2009. iPhones invented two years before. Then in 2009, Facebook rolled out its personalized algorithm-driven feed. Twitter and Instagram followed a few years later. I really think, if you have to point to just one culprit (though there are several), it would be this. The algorithm killed the monoculture more than anything else. We live now in a culture almost entirely shaped by the algorithm, which is to say that we have no culture.
Youth sports is on life support.
If you think it’s fine, you’re not paying attention.
Kids age 10-12 are playing way too many tournaments and travel ball. Parents treat it like the World Series. They need less travel, more rest, fueling, and actual development. They’re 12 YO.
The data backs it up:
❌70% of kids drop out of organized sports by age 13.
❌Professionalization (year-round single-sport focus, heavy travel/tournaments) drives overuse injuries, overtraining, and burnout.
❌Nearly 1 in 10 youth athletes experience burnout; up to 35% deal with overtraining.
❌Early specialization before 12-13 raises injury and burnout risks significantly.
Multi-sport kids who rest and play for fun stick around longer and develop better.
Let them be kids. Prioritize recovery, fun, and long-term health over trophies. The best athletes often sample multiple sports early and specialize later.
Who else sees this?
@AmandaMAtwell@billyliucci Do you honestly think it’s this big uphill battle? What has arch accomplished at this point exactly? Marcel has started in a CFB playoff game. How about arch?
The most extinct thing in the entire movie isn’t the public pools, the country fair, or block parties. Those all still exist.
It’s the idea of kids playing baseball just for fun. No trophies, no tournament, no parents, just play.
Travel sports has ruined a generation of kids.
“My family plan costs $1,500 a month — and each of my three KIDS has a $6,000 deductible.”
He must pay $30,000 out-of-pocket BEFORE insurance covers anything for them — on top of $18,000 a year just to keep the plan alive.
This isn’t coverage — it’s a SCAM.
