Great to see coverage of the council's steps to protect people experiencing homelessness this winter. 🗞️ Glad to be working alongside @cornwallhousing, @WeAreWithYou & @CornwallCouncil and to be providing specialist support at the Cold Weather Provision for those most at risk.
Thank you to Food for Families Penzance CIC for the donation of goodie bags yesterday for residents at our Penzance homeless temporary accommodation sites.
Growing Links project will be dropping a Christmas dinner on Christmas Day to residents.
Thank you both so much!
Fantastic simple story of how the right support and Housing First can help change lives. Thank you for all your support on these amazing projects @HarbourHousing
So pleased to have been able to work with @cornwallhousing on brilliant schemes to get people into their own homes, including the Short Term Accommodation and Resettlement programme and Housing First, both of which Martin benefitted from. 🏡
So proud of all of the hard work of the team @cornwallhousing in a most challenging year. This recognises their hard work and that of our great partners working to try and end rough sleeping in Cornwall
We're proud to have been shortlisted for one of the Homeless Link Awards (Promoting Partnerships and Collaborative Working Award). The award scheme celebrates the best of the homelessness and supported housing sectors and this year.
Fantastic team effort!
Just one of many stories from the work of our teams at @cornwallhousing and @CornwallCouncil over the last few months - working together to improve the lives of people in Cornwall https://t.co/BNGO9h9GgH
Today is #WorldHomelessDay and this year offers time to reflect on the impact that #coronavirus has had on homeless people worldwide. In the UK we're working with our partners to prevent a return to previous #roughsleeping numbers. #endhomelessness
World Homeless Day - Cornwall Housing. So proud of all the teams working hard every day. It has been an unprecedented six months so today we reflect on the difference great people can make to those who most need it. #WorldHomelessDay2020 https://t.co/mpvvE9mk6f
Interesting report on homelessness from @NFA_ALMOs which includes information on a scheme our team ran to help vulnerable members of our community who were homeless during the coronavirus crisis by offering secure temporary accommodation at Carrick Cabins. #HomesAtTheHeart
Great to be included on this learning session today from @MEAMcoalition and the South West Reducing Reoffending Partnership with @AlisonHernandez. Really useful talks so far - completely agree with this assessment: “Accommodation is a critical factor in reducing reoffending.”
We need to put good quality, affordable housing at the heart of plans for social & economic recovery from COVID-19, and now is the time to combine with a clear strategy to reach the 2050 zero-carbon target for housing #HomesAtTheHeart@RishiSunak@RobertJenrick@mhclg
Hi @thisischerilyn would appreciate you reading this powerful, moving letter from @MarcusRashford. In #cornwall, with the devastating impact of coronavirus on our summer tourism economy, making sure parents can afford to feed their children is vital. #maketheUturn
A huge thank you to @wpduk for sponsoring our friendship parcels. During April and May, we have sent friendship activity parcels to 50 shielding tenants and 5 families. One tenant said “I was feeling down before your parcel arrived, and it really made my day.”
Radical £433m plans to provide 6,000 long-term, safe homes for vulnerable rough sleepers taken off the streets during the pandemic have been unveiled today by @RobertJenrick

@judecross@MEAMcoalition@Purpledebbles @How_de_do Without the foundations built over the last couple of years I doubt we would have had the resilience and sheer will to achieve what we have done over the last 8 weeks. We have great teams delivering great outcomes. It’s been and a challenge but we must not let the chance go by
Great partnership working from @LibraryCornwall@CornwallCouncil who have lent @cornwallhousing our mobile library vehicle to help them reach a number of rough sleepers housed in caravan parks. They will use the van as a mobile office space for support staff & other agencies.
