Wonder if the decision to move Wright to the left, that arguably helped swing Saturdays game our way, is because he'll come inside a lot more than Douglas/Raymond?

Figures dont look high in percentages but they are

Idea may be that it allows an extra central player to push up?

Dominant possession wise and just took a hold of Countys throat after half time to stunt any comeback attempt

630 passes yesterday, almost double the "12 month average"

7% of passes were long, average before around 17%

3.93xG. Previously 8 games combined was 5.9

Kimpioka probably the best, easiest to find, example of how hard everyone worked to help each other defensively yesterday.

There's been a "not my fault" feeling around a lot of our defensive work when players caught out of position in the past year+, so seeing this good.

Can change managers as much as you like, if your players can't do the absolute basics then you'll never succeed.

Embarrassing stuff yet again. Massive game, 3-2 up, and simple free kick to defend, and they leave the opponents main threat from set plays unmarked.

Pathetic.

[Eric Nicolson @C_ENicolson]

FT 3-3. Shambolic doesn't do justice to St Johnstone's set-piece defending. Totally unacceptable. Any other team in the league wins that game after going 3-1 up.

[St Johnstone Analysis @StAnalysis]

Don't think we've won a game in the league, after conceding first, since Ali Crawfords double v Ross County In December 2022.

5th (from 6) game season we've fallen behind in.

Easiest solution to this problem would be stopping handing teams absolute fucking gifts every week.

[St Johnstone 1884 @stjohnstone1884]

If that first half was an audition for Andy Kirk, it would be four red buzzers. Saints level through Wright fizzer but if this is the result of a week on the training ground then it's a poor reflection on the coach. No reaction to manager sacking.

@StJohnstone Thanks for memories! 🙌🏼👍🏼😃

[St Johnstone Analysis @StAnalysis]

You can survive with poor players in a lot of positions, but not in goal. Like Rae and see the positives but we can't run to January with him as undisputed 1st choice

Raymond miss the big game changer, but Raes errors killed any chance of a point

Sidibeh out might be a blessing
