My google timeline highlight for January was that I tried out a new grocery store... and that's it...

Today: blizzard, daycare closed, remote learning once again.

I'm frequently grateful of the flexibility my job (and current training) offers me to be able to respond to this all while working from home.

I received three emails from school, school board, and bus company about the storm tomorrow, all before 2:30 this aft.

So why annouce the shift to remote at 8:30pm on a Sunday? @OCDSB

I dont know how we would have coped with the physical and mental pain that would have brought us.

There are other people going through that delay--or at least that uncertainty--right now. I hope they get their surgeries quickly so they can end their pain and begin recovering.

My family was so lucky that my wife's elective surgery in feb 2020 went ahead. It almost got paused for a days, and if it had there's a good chance it would have been during the hold on elective surgeries in March.

Trick or treated with the grandparents, and the streets were full of kids. Houses ran out.

Came home and there were still several hundred little bars in the bowl we left outside...
