@dutchdecrypto@TheDazzleNovak I completely agree with your takes and am a huge fan of vintage myself. Are you targeting any specific kind of vintage or just accumulating as much as you can? I’m all over first editions and/or shadowless. Thanks!
@wayne_whitlock@RJChicagoSports Agreed on Kiran, I can still hold out hope for him. I just think with the way Poles has missed in the third round he should entertain trading 3rd rounders. You can get guaranteed contributors in return
@chasin_dale@RJChicagoSports Besides Braxton who’s started for us past round 2? The best you can come up with is RoJo. He’s had a ton of post round 2 picks and they haven’t hit. Booker was a no show last year. Sewell and smith are intriguing but again, they aren’t starters
@Clayton2Powell@RJChicagoSports He’s been mediocre at best and is about to lose his job to an undrafted LT from Canada. Not sure what’s so special about Braxton
@HawkHockey11@HawksHawkey@ChiSportsSuck Unfortunately this shows that the currency the hawks are rich in (picks, prospects, cap space, etc) isn’t valued very much on the trade market. This will result in the rebuild taking far longer than anyone wants to admit. It may be better for long term sustained success tho
@TheProspectDon Ideally you’d love to see the sharks move up one spot to first overall for Schafer, then hawks could potentially get misa at three without giving up any assets. Lots of ways this could play out
@sobedarded@mdundas44@TheProspectDon Yeah you’re right, this is definitely a long shot. The only hope we have is they really like hagens and want to draft him at a more ideal pick slot. However I can’t see them passing up on Schafer
@mdundas44@TheProspectDon I really wonder what we’d need to give up to make it happen. Maybe the Toronto first, a second, and a prospect. It all depends on how Davidson values Misa over Martone/Frondell
@mdundas44@TheProspectDon Unfortunately no D pick is worth 3rd overall if Schafer is gone, so I highly doubt they’d trade down with us. The more likely scenario is us convincing the islanders to trade down so they could get better value for Hagens at 3 while we take Misa 1st, but it’ll be costly
@TheProspectDon @chrisfricano_ And let me be clear, I love what our future holds. I just think it’s a bit farther away than most hawks fans believe. We just gotta be patient (even though that’s very difficult at this point)
@TheProspectDon @chrisfricano_ I think the rest of the league (and carle) realizes that the hawks are still deep in their rebuild, a fact that most hawks fans can’t come to terms with. We are still very far off from any kind of success. I have a feeling we’re stuck with hiring a bridge coach this offseason
@DarrylConrad This is why trading back for poles is always a disaster bc the guy cannot draft past the second round. His results in rounds 3 through 7 are insanely bad
@bhags38@Iamsharknado@OviClapBomb I think the Lightning will get a solid return if Howard agrees to sign with the new team right away. Teams wont give up much just to put themselves in the same situation with Howard. If Howard is truly set on FA the return will be horrible at best
@OviClapBomb It all comes down to whether he thinks the Hawks have a realistic path to victory. I’d say we’re still a few years away from the playoffs and our division is incredibly strong. Is he willing to work with us through that?
@HawksFan8898@OviClapBomb@Hockey_Robinson@Maccus_de_Long Would you wana trade for him at all or just give up a lesser package than Korch? Like I guess I could see the argument that we have quite a few guys on Howard’s level already
