@BaltimoreDinger So many people keep trying to dissect the rule book and dictionary to make this a good call. It’s so weird to me. USE YOUR EYES!! Clement doesnt just happen to be almost in the RF grass cause of a wide turn or anything it’s SOLELY BECAUSE HES AVOIDING GUNNARS TAG. FFS!🤦♂️
@SinCityRoto@NiceTurang@balkwhisperer He didn’t chase him down because it would’ve ruined the play at first. A runner shouldn’t be able to sabotage a double play by making a fielder chase him into center field
@balkwhisperer Do you think that should be a part of baseball though? Purposely making a guy chase you to ensure the ump calls him out of the base path? Allowing runners to sabotage double plays by doing this bush league tactic.
@Oaknarrow@bmore_sports8@editti22@CodifyBaseball Lmao ok. Why don’t you show me one play in MLB history where a baserunner purposely tries to run away from a tag and benefits from it. I’ll wait
@Oaknarrow@bmore_sports8@editti22@CodifyBaseball the pic you used isn’t when the tag attempt started so it’s not a good one to draw a line on. Every other time in baseball history when I’ve seen a guy try to run that far away from a tag he’s ruled out. Except this 1 time which is why every1 besides blue jays fans thinks it’s BS
@Oaknarrow@bmore_sports8@editti22@CodifyBaseball Pretty awful comparison considering there wasn’t a double play at stake. Can’t believe you aren’t intelligent enough to realize Clement was purposely running away from the tag to try and mess up the double play. I’m sure he would even admit that yet youre here blaming the SS HAHA
