@mattjcan If it's for business there are write offs available. If it's for private use, delay buying a new car or buy second hand. Oh, by the way, this is part of the long term plan to protect the environment for your descendants too.
@KeithRowley66@bushplato There is a suggestion that younger folk don't join organisations such as ADF, police,SES, RFS etc. You have to be careful with raw numbers. Today I heard one news source comparing 1980s numbers to Today. No mention of the many non operational, now civilian contractor positions
@Yarrahbunjyil@TheEathen@TaskerLady89977 There has not been sufficient time pass to allow hard evidence on BEV component lifespan but manufacturers and others are suggesting at least as long as most ICEV. Time will tell. 2/2
@Yarrahbunjyil@TheEathen@TaskerLady89977 That is exactly my point, any machinery needs maintenance and has a limited lifespan. The fact you have a 33 year old Toyota is irrelevant. There are still early 1900s vintage cars around but they do not suit the modern world. We have to reduce carbon emissions. 1/2
@drianwright This is obviously caused by the installation of solar panels, wind turbines and pumped hydro. Nothing to do with extreme weather, of course.
@BenjiBerries@Marcus78216830 I'm not an advocate for Marxism, socialism or communism and certainly not authoritarian regimes but China seems to be doing well, at least economically and has lifted many millions out of poverty
@SamDavi99667843 My understanding is that Victoria is connected to the'national' power grid so, if power generation, by whatever source, was capable of being transmitted, a loss of generation capacity in Victoria shouldn't result in catastrophic loss. Seems a beat up.
@KeithRowley66@bushplato There is a percentage of women in the ADF. Numbers have always fluctuated and there have been many instances, over the years, of re-signing bonuses being offered to address leakage. It's nothing new.
@jeff_kennett Imagine when humankind failure to address catastrophic AGW results in a world where people can't eat, drink clean water or have adequate shelter. Showering is going to be the least of their problems.
@TaskerLady89977 By extension, many, mainly non indigenous, small outback towns should be shut down because of unemployment, cost of services etc. Is Credlin suggesting that?
