Aronimink is one of the truly great championship golf courses in the world, and the condition of the course, the incredible galleries, and the hospitality of the club made the PGA Championship an unforgettable week. I have always believed the PGA Championship stands for the club professional, and as a former president of the PGA in South Africa, I deeply admire how this championship continues to honour the men and women who dedicate their lives to growing the game and serving their communities. Aaron Rai was every bit the gentleman and champion you hope to see win a major championship, and the magnificent putt he holed on the 17th green, a putt I honestly felt would have been difficult to two-putt, was one of the finest moments of the week. To then see the way he embraced his wife, with such genuine love, humility, and gratitude, reminded me that success in golf comes from a deep passion for the game and an unwavering commitment to hard work, and all in all, it was a magnificent championship at a magnificent club. Well done to all. GP
I have a real soft spot for this final approach into 18 by Tommy Fleetwood at Shinnecock in 2018, as I was standing directly behind it and couldn’t believe the sound it made. Not to mention the flight.
He of course went on to hole the birdie putt for 62 to win the U.S. Open
I’m only 7 shots back which is wild. If I can hit some better iron shots, I know I can make a run. Nice early tee time where it should be less windy before the leaders tee off.
Let’s keep the momentum and see what happens!
Good night
Thoughts from Wed at PGA
-Played the back nine today early.
-Def tougher than the front nine. At least 1 shot harder im going to guess.
-15 especially is going to be brutal. Into the wind, I hit driver 3wd haha. Wind is slightly different and it’s going to be down wind but it’s still quite difficult.
-18 Idk if ive ever seen a tree in play that’s this big. Left side is definitely the preferable side but even then I’ll likely have to play around it or go below it. It’s going to be a fascinating finishing stretch with guys hanging on.
-I know I’ve said this but the rough is STRONG. It is patchy but from a poor lie, I’m not carrying it anymore than a 100yds.
-Also, the first cut here is prob the highest I’ve ever seen haha My plan is to putt with a wedge and belly it. Unlikely to happen a lot but it’s tricky.
They skinned Matthew alive.
They crucified Peter upside down.
Boiled John in hot oil.
Beheaded James with a sword.
Hung Luke from an olive tree.
Stoned Philip to death.
None of the apostles died for a lie.
NEW: New Testament scholar Jeremiah Johnston shows Shawn Ryan what the Crown of Thorns that was put on Jesus' head might have looked like.
"I see love because it should have been my head in that crown. But it wasn't."
"The Bible says Jesus loved me so much when I was at my worst. God sent his best for me, who put his head in that crown that I deserved."
"And that is the beauty of the gospel."
Thank you, Jesus.

Matt Fitzpatrick is just 31 years old, but having won a major and been a pro since 2014, he is mature beyond his years. The way he handled a difficult defeat on Sunday at The Players Championship with the crowd heckling him down the final stretch showed just that.
Ahead of the Valspar Championship he was asked if it was something that was instilled in him at a young age and he gave a great answer, almost deflecting the praise onto Cameron Young:
“My parents have raised me to be polite and, you know, and kind. Yeah, it all comes from my parents. The biggest example would be, I won the U.S. Open, my dad ran past me and went to shake hands with Will Zalatoris, you know, to say, obviously, commiserations. I know Will has mentioned that before to me.
“So, yeah, it comes from my parents, they raised me to be that way. I think -- I know a lot of people say, Oh, Cam didn't really show any emotion as well. I'm sure he probably understood the situation. Obviously I'm right there, it's not like you give a big fist pump and cheer. That to me was a huge sign of respect too. You know, not to be fist pumping in my face or anything like that. So that's another reason why I've got a lot of respect for Cam for not just his play, but just as a person as well. And sharing, you know, two seasons in TGL now we got to know each other a little better. And my brother went to college with him, so I know he's a good kid.”
Despite the banter he sometimes receives from the US fans, Matt is all class 👏
