I created the Olive Branch Network for several reasons… one of the reasons is that there was no application layer that existed that really resonated with me.

What you mostly see nowadays are prediction markets and other forms of gambling that have a high probability of harming users.

Personally, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself knowing my app caused pain to people.

That is why I chose an entirely different route.

The OBN App allows users to earn via staking to nonprofit pools and a portion is redirected to the nonprofit they choose to stake to.

It creates a harmonious relationship between nonprofits and their supporters. It is the first model (to my knowledge) where earning and giving are woven together.

The tokenomics are inspired by Bitcoin - with less and less tokens being generated as the protocol matures.

I didn’t invent anything new. The idea of pools, staking rewards, and a deflationary emission schedule already existed with my two favorite projects - Bitcoin & Ethereum.

I just rearranged and put together their ideas/structures to create what I believe to be the most useful application layer.

Usefulness (to me) is measured by the amount of positive impact something could generate for the world, and to me there is no other application layer that is as useful as the Olive Branch Network.
