Friends, psych colleagues: I have finally managed to publish my first academic paper... do have a read if it's your thing.

@M_H_Taylor Some proper country stalwarts there - and Walsh was phenomenal. Surprised Dev got so many.
And No.7 did well to stick with the county game after the success of Down By The Water
Birdlands out today (possibly my 55th?). I think it might be my best. A crow, a Jackdaw, and a pigeon, each damaged, on a journey to find salvation. Think Watership Down, about birds, as written by Sam Beckett. Fly my beauties, fly! (Except they can't fly, so they have to walk…)
I started thinking about unconditional love, then I started writing about it, and it was quite hard to stop. It seemed simple at first and then not so simple by the end. I’m sure it’s meant to be the other way around…

For the record, the president of the United States is now simultaneously claiming that he has won the war, is currently winning the war, needs help to win the war, and needs no help to win the war. All to destroy the nuclear program he claims to have already destroyed last year.
@Keirwales Ditto. I think he writes excellently - thoughtful, rigorous, clear - but I was blocked years ago for some incredibly minor quibble, which was a real shame. His Substack is very good though, and I just keep quiet on there😄
@teachrobotslove Stunning. You really can write. It reminds me of the poem The Raincoat. Different pace, different intensity. But same soul.

@SimonBrundish Yes, broadly. Probably scope for a bit of an edit (it's a touch repetitious & could do with a few hyphens to aid comprehension😁) but the building of the layers of the argument and the fundamental freshness v capacity dichotomy is clear. A nice insight into a world I didn't know.
