@vettukal@alexdoda@aidan_mclau So now I end up using o3 in chatGPT for planning and working through complex problems and feed Sonnet/Opus in Cursor output from o3. Then get them to review each other's work. I find o3 is better at complex backend tasks and Sonnet 4 especially just smashes through frontend.
@vettukal@alexdoda@aidan_mclau I find o3 can be really amazing outside of Cursor/Windsurf. The implementation of o3 and its tool calling capabilities is really far behind Sonnet/Opus in those platforms. If I take my code and feed it to o3 in ChatGPT it instantly gets what needs to be done.
@theo Any advice on getting coding agents to work nicely with tailwind and shadcn? I find it such a struggle debugging some minor css/component issue sometimes!
@doctorwise@modestolopez20@signulll DeepSeek opens the door to smaller less well funded research teams. Increased number of research teams will require more and more NVIDIA chips for the foreseeable. It's not about running the trained model, but the arms race to advance the models capabilities exponentially.
I've been exploring ways of interacting with AI agents. Text and increasingly speech are already widespread. But realtime AI video APIs are unlocking the next domain.
Here's a proof-of-concept Teams call with our AI FinOps agent.
Would you take a video call with an AI agent?
@BowTiedCyber Exactly, it will always be cheaper to just buy a Raspberry Pi and a 1TB SSD off Amazon. The additional cost is where the thing is hosted. What would your local DC quote you for a colo rack in a single site?
I get your point , but you're comparing raspberries with Cybertrucks.
@BowTiedCyber Just looking at DO, what's the price of their 1TB volume per month? Also which SKU did you spec on Azure for your VM?
Just a cursory look shows an Azure B1s VM + 1TB SSD + Network is cheaper than Digital Ocean.
Would need to understand your chosen SKUs and modelling though.
How much do you think organizations can typically trim in percentage terms from their annual cloud spend by:
🟢 Right-sizing their infrastructure
🟣 Identifying and removing underutilized or completely unused resources
🟠 Switching to updated SKUs
Let me know your guess!
