But mostly, what he thinks doesn’t matter. The vibes are high here and the teams he cites can only wish they had the success the Canes have had the last 8 years (or won a Cup in this century).

Seattle is one of the places I want to go for an NFL game. One of my friends and I take a trip or two every year to experience a sporting event in another city. That’s on our list.

(This is also why I don’t understand him… why shit on other cities instead of appreciate every city’s unique sports culture. It’s fun!)

It’s all rage bait to get engagement. It’s just lazy talk though. He probably doesn’t even believe half of what he’s saying. How could he? He isn’t here to experience it.

But it’s also just weird behavior to try to gate keep sports. I’ve got friends who have never cared about hockey who are going to watch parties with me right now. It’s a great opportunity to make more fans… and get to spend time with friends… make new friends at tailgates. Not to mention it’s good for the sport if more people care.

The gatekeeping is just super weird.

I'll never understand the urge to gatekeep sports. Sports/teams/leagues benefit from having more people interested. It's why I'm glad to see so many people jumping on the Canes bandwagon in NC. Hopefully they come long-term fans.

I'll also never understand shitting on other cities for being different than yours. One of my favorite things to do is go experience sports in other cities. It's fun to see other sports cultures.

The NHL completely ruined the league with expansion teams

Hurricanes and Golden Knights: two teams whose history began in 1997 and 2017 have made 6 Stanley Cup Finals with 2 wins between them and another coming this year

The league has failed its traditional franchises

This app has told me that fans wouldn't go to watch parties in downtown or Lenovo. Last night showed that wasn't true in DTR. This Ticketmaster line for the Saturday watch party shows it isn't true about Lenovo.

Hopefully, we get more of these in earlier rounds in the future!

@JP_Mundy @Canes There is a line of more than 10,000 people... after I sat in line for 20 minutes and got put in a second line. Ticketmaster is the absolute worst.
