@nhlupdate Two questions: Nemec isn't like Reinhart where he's a failed high pick, but why would NJD trade a former 2nd overall pick? Shouldn’t they be building their entire blueline around him? Or is he not a Dahlin/Hedman type anchor?

Also, why is SJS dumping Eklund? He's proven to be a real deal, while a the pick could land out being a total bust. If anything, it delays their rebuild big-time.

A unique player as a pure shutdown centre that has great defensive stats, won't do much offensively.

I'd love for EDM to build him his own shutdown line and then attack with three lines of offensive depth. For now, the money and term is just fine.
