“If you were able to overlook a genocide and cast a vote for Harris, you already know how a conservative was able to overlook Trump’s extremism and vote for him.”

Their model relies on hidden fees, deceptive ticket options, and overpriced fares – all designed to boost shareholder profits at the public’s expense.
These are their major shareholders 🔽

“‘Won’t someone feel sorry for the landlords?' Cry me a river.”
As landlords and shareholders are set to face a tax hike on unearned income, @mrjamesob finds it ‘extraordinary’ that anyone could sympathise with them.
The museum of neoliberalism is being bulldozed to make way for luxury flats, an ironic end too good to be scripted. Juliet Jacques meets its co-founder, the artist Darren Cullen. https://t.co/H3NPODa7ap
Today on #WorldFoodDay I’m launching a #PlantBasedPledge !
If we want to restore nature , we have to change our food systems . . . I’m asking the environmental sector to lead this change by pledging to go 100% plant-based .

"Why is it always the working class that has to bear the brunt... we are the 6th largest economy in the world, yet poor pensioners & poor kids are having to go through avoidable poverty... its about political decisions"
Spot on @zarahsultana.
I am lost for words as to why the Labour Party is yet to suspend Jas Athwal MP.
• He has now been caught jeopardising the wellbeing of 300 children under 5 years old
• He failed to comply with housing regulations on dozens of his properties
• He forced tenants to live in ant infested and mould-ridden flats
Even the Tories would remove the whip from someone so dangerous to society!
So Huw Edwards gets a suspended sentence for buying and making pornographic images of children, while peaceful environmental defenders seeking to prevent social catastrophe get 3, 4 and 5 years. Some justice, this.
This @bmj_latest investigation reveals that more than half the members of the UK government’s Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) have conflicts of interest with food companies including Nestlé, Tate & Lyle, and the world’s largest ice cream producer: Unilever🧵
Universal basic income is a foundational floor below which no one is allowed to ever fall. It's a minimum amount of access to resources, provided as an investment in each individual by all of society. Universal basic income is the runway for everyone's aspirations to take flight.
Nothing nice for anyone in Camberwell. Southwark Council destroys guerilla kiosk art gallery lying that it was 'anti-social'. Empty and rubbish filled for ten years, the gallery renovation had actually made the kiosk interesting & attractive. Ffs!

Starmer rejected creating safe routes for refugees fleeing war zones.
It is the lack of safe routes that causes the tragic loss of life in the English Channel.
A shameful policy.
@MartinSLewis Keep the allowance universal so everyone who needs it gets it. Use the tax system to withdraw the corresponding amount from richer people/pensioners
Voting to scrap the two-child benefit cap and lift 330,000 kids out of poverty = Labour whip withdrawn
Renting out properties that have mould and ant infestations, with tenants threatened with eviction if they complained or claimed housing benefits = Labour whip intact
🤔
A few months ago at an NEC meeting, I suggested Labour keep a record of the number of landlords being selected as candidates - in part due to it being a determining factor of class.
Needless to say that went down like a lead balloon.
