Did anyone ever play any of the Doctor's Quest games? They were massive in the 80s and 90s - started out as a text adventure before going point-and-click, then jumped the shark when they tried to turn it into a First Person Shooter. Definitely inspired me to become a doctor!

@cannula_service @jdrwilcox When working as a med Reg I had some v supportive consultants and some less so. I have also been called to Surg wards to support Surg juniors on the verge of tears with unwell patients who cant get senior support. As you said complaints are universal; people in glass houses etc

@cannula_service @jdrwilcox however that requires a significant change in medical consultants job plans and I don't think it boils down to "just come in at night".

@cannula_service @jdrwilcox Medicine is a broad church with a much more varied way of working amongst consultants and specialties than anaesthetics. It also takes the highest burden of acute patients through the ED. There are almost certainly large amounts of things it could be doing better...
