I’m loving this run. My biggest frustration with much of the British left is that they’re moderates posing as leftists, trying to carve out a little space to make money. So they sit on the fence or fold whenever taking a principled stand might cost them something.

Even putting the moral issues aside, on the main goal of stopping the boats, they didn't.

Recently on @novaramedia's #NovaraLive, @michaeljswalker made the claim that Australia's small boats problm was solved by pushing them back to where they departed.

There's one small problem with this argument...

So, how did Australia stop the boats?

1. Making it illegal for border force to disclose anything relating to their work.
2. Only considering specific small boat routes as "arrivals".
3. Creating a bizarre new belief that "sometimes when a boat arrives, it actually doesn't."
