@JamesMelville Nothing to do with the fact that British people prefer to retire somewhere warm then? I have retired to Gib but I'm not an 'immigrant' there. I spend a damned fortune there but take zero out of their economy and still go "home" regularly. Semi-permanent holiday
@Paul27412380@hartigj1@RCorbettMEP The withdrawal agreement is a piece of paper
The withdrawal act is an act of parliament that has been ratified by the Queen
FFS
@Anna_Soubry Has it totally escaped your attention that being a member of or a supporter of a proscribed organisation carries a maximum sentence of TEN YEARS under the terrorism act. All returning jihadis should at the very least be prosecuted under this law
@GrahamJudas @SandersonJacob @JoshuaJourno @WavertreeCLP@lucianaberger As a Gibraltar constituent, may I suggest reading a book. "Janet and John to democracy" would be a start
@gibalfonso@whatevs02332459@Baddiel @Keefdevlin Funnily enough, you gave a load of reasons such as getting " young people" enthused
I didn't know shit from shinola when I left home at 16. Three days later I found three adults jacking up heroin in my "new home"
Grow up
@gibalfonso@whatevs02332459@Baddiel @Keefdevlin Ah yes, the manifesto where Labour stood on implementing the referendum result but now want to take no deal off the table despite it being the legal default position in the withdrawal act that they voted for. If a 17k increase was down to that it would have happened elsewhere
@Paul27412380@hartigj1@RCorbettMEP Many polls suggested that remain would win first time round. They didn't. 39 days left. You couldn't organise a referendum in 39 days, nor could the withdrawal act be replaced and receive royal assent in that time. A couple of judicial reviews and we're gone finally
@RCorbettMEP@Jason_Jones01 The "facts" that remain say we now know are the direct result of a financially unrestrained 2.5 year propaganda blitz. Nice try though
@AndyTho51008835 @Jagsfan1876otig@piersmorgan The much vaunted "uncertainty" has actually had a positive effect on wages in several lower paid sectors as employers find it harder to tap into the limitless cheap labour from Eastern Europe. Hospitality wages for example have adjusted markedly
@krishgm Funny that, because the same people who support your post are largely the ones saying that the girl who joined ISIS at 15 should be allowed back in the UK because "she was too young to understand what she was doing"
@hairyj1000 @moir_andyrew@KTHopkins Doesn't the thought of why someone would get pregnant for a third time in a war zone where she'd already lost two kids cause you to temper your sympathy at all? It does me.
@TLoubser28 @GiantHandGuy @JuliaHB1@davidallengreen There isn't a problem and there is absolutely no movement here to do anything other than go with the flow
