Just read a thread of a guy freaking out his channel got deleted. The whole thing was about how YouTube is essentially blowing him off and how his channel shouldn’t have been terminated. Later in the thread he mentions how he “just” made a few videos telling people to go follow him on Roblox.

He posted one of the videos. It adds zero value and just tells people to go follow him. Making content for the purpose of sending people off site like that is against community guidelines.

Sharing this to say that as a content creator on YouTube it’s important to know the basic rules like this. It’s also important when you see creators making a big deal of their channels getting terminated that it’s possible they broke the rules.

In my entire time on YouTube, having people reach out to me and sending them to @TeamYouTube when they have had issues, I have yet to see a channel that didn’t break any rules not get reinstated if their channel was incorrectly flagged.

They might be out there but I haven’t witnessed it.

@annopost I didn’t miss it but I also know that there are A LOT of asmr channels that are top of funnel for getting attention to OF or other adult accounts via linking to other platforms and then to a link tree and then to the shady stuff. ALL asmr channels were not impacted.

@EMRAAN888 No but @teamyoutube can. One thing that can happen to my understanding is if someone in the house had a channel in the past got banned it can cause that to trigger.

@RoseFamily90 No, I don’t think it’s fair that it can take that long. YouTube has the resources to handle this stuff rapidly and they should. What was the reason for your removal?

They don’t mess around when it comes to that if it’s not educational. To be fair, they let some crazy stuff stay on the platform under the disguise of it being educational. We used to work with a company that had live comments on screen with profile pics. Someone has a nude profile pic and the channel doing the stream got taken down over it…lol. It got reinstated though.

@JonasDigitalArt It’s often due to multiple violations in one moment. For example, if they think a channel is uploading spam when they look at a channel, there’s no reason to give a warning. They instantly have multiple violations.

@Scruffy6910 Demonetization is different than account deletion but it also sucks. I don’t understand what you mean by false privacy reports claiming my content was ai generated”. YouTube doesn’t care if content is AI generated. They care if it’s automated.
