Following the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in performing Salat al-Istisqa (the prayer for rain), the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud — may Allah preserve and protect him — has called for the performance of Salat al-Istisqa across all regions of the Kingdom tomorrow, Thursday.

Everyone is urged to increase in repentance, seek forgiveness, return to Allah Almighty, show kindness to His servants, perform more voluntary acts of worship such as charity, prayers, and remembrance, make things easy for others, and relieve their hardships — that Allah may grant us relief and fulfill what we hope for.

All who are able should be keen to perform this prayer, following the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), showing humility and dependence upon Allah the Exalted, and persistently supplicating — for Allah loves His servants to be frequent and earnest in their prayers.

We ask Almighty Allah to have mercy on the land and its people, to answer the supplications of His servants, and to make what He sends down a mercy and a blessing for them and a provision for a time. Indeed, He is All-Hearing, Responsive.

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
