Also, time to pin this again. I still don't really "post" anymore but that might change. I've been most active on my refreshed tumblr. https://t.co/SSW5UU9fGk
ANN's preview guide is a stressful pressure cooker of a gig, and every quarter, Nick would be there as my comrade-in-arms to make fun of the worst the season had to offer. It infuriated me how quickly he posted reviews and how, without fail, they were hilarious and insightful.
Nick was a funny guy, it was always a delight to work with him because the guy could riff on anything like a fish breathing water. Our combined mischief got us in trouble once or twice, but there are few people I'd chose to be next to as we thumbed our noses.
It's not fair, man.
Nick was one of the most dedicated, professional, intelligent, and consistently fucking hilarious people I've ever had the privilege to work with, and his writing will inspire me for years to come. The community has lost one of its brightest and sharpest voices.
That's not even going into the three whole years I worked with him as a fellow This Week in Anime contributor. I can't tell you how many times I was impressed while writing together. He was always so confident and dedicated. I can't imagine anime discourse without him.
Nick/@Lossthief was one of the first people on this website that seriously responded to me. He always had something interesting or funny to say and never lost his chill. We never met in person, but the 12~ years we spent online together made us kinfolk. I miss you, fellow Nick.
Hi everyone,
I'm devastated to inform you that @LossThief passed away unexpectedly this morning. I've been in touch with his mother and will let you know if there's anything else I can share soon.
Nicholas Dupree was one of my favorite people; immensely funny and empathetic.
I'm devastated. Nick, it was an honor to work with you on TWIA. You were one of the funniest, most insightful writers working in this space. I wish I'd been a better friend to you these last few years. I'll probably always regret, but I'll try to remember the good.
@LossThief Nick wrote for TWIA for seven years, covered My Hero Academia reviews for ANN alongside numerous other series. He was passionate and knowledgeable about music and just the funniest motherfucker I knew. Myself and the editorial department are beside ourselves right now.

@ritostime I definitely fit the kind of stereotypical mold of the girly girl playing the "nurturing" role, but I feel like this stereotype implies women aren't willing to take on more "challenging" jobs/roles and, in all my raid experience, that simply is not true.
@ritostime *Points to self* This Woman who has been playing WHM since I started is ready to glare down whoever says this. Women can play whatever job they want. Healing is great for new players who are getting used to controls, but even WHM is hard to execute at a high level.
Was a bit trepidatious about this one, but very happy with how it turned out. Very grateful to the hard work and perspective from @NickyEnchilada and @ANN_Lynzee to bring it together.

i once again need the internet's help to keep going this month, but this time, I'll be drawing cartoons based on YOUR prompts to sweeten the deal!
I'd like to thank @NickyEnchilada for her help decoding this week's FF14 news. I love FF14, but I haven't played past A Realm Reborn so a lot of it flies over my head. Nicky is one of my old This Week In Anime alumni, definitely check her work out!

@NateMing Art doesn’t have to be “good” to be valuable. I learned so much about movies watching bad films with my friends, picking out their decisions and the kind of effort that goes into making them. Besides, we shouldn’t let good taste dictate how we value labor.
