The @AfrBioInstitute was represented at the @DSI_Africa meeting in Ghana at the networking exchange. We will present the ABI at a showcase session on Thursday. An @eLwazi_ODSP showcase this afternoon described our work on developing a federated data infrastructure.
The 5th @DSI_Africa consortium and data science for health meeting opened in Accra yesterday with traditional Ghanian dancing. The themes so far have highlighted the challenges in data sharing and need for federated analysis infrastructure. @eLwazi_ODSP
At the EPHI Annual Research Review, our Interim Council member Atsbeha Gebreegziabxier introduced the ABI, sharing its mission and activities.
👏 We’re proud to see ABI starting to gain recognition across Africa as we work to connect bioinformatics efforts continent-wide.
@eLwazi_ODSP is hosting a hackathon this week to integrate @GA4GH standards, including Data Connect to enable data exploration and federated analysis for the DS-I Africa consortium. We have 4 streams looking at different topics, including federated TREs. Thanks to the attendees.
