@LisvaneLlanRes - these coots are determined to built their nest on the platform ladder. Last week’s attempt complete with egg collapsed, will this attempt be more successful?
@LisvaneLlanRes the great crested grebes have another attempt at making a nest - if the water level stays stable then it could be more successful than last year
@DaniHoward6 I really enjoyed the world premiere of your percussion concerto expertly and sensitively played by @DameEvelyn with the @BBCNOW tonight- thank you
@LisvaneLlanRes the wonderful ring necked ducks continue to perform today but the sky was full of sand martins with a few swallows and house martins @glambirds
At some point in the last couple of weeks a startling change in Cley's shingle landscape occurred. A vast miles long 8ft high shingle shelf has formed, it's form & height something I've not seen for over two decades (when the 3 old rusted yellow JCBs used to shore up the bank).
@LisvaneLlanRes a 3 grebe day: red necked on Llanishen, Little grebe and Great crest grebe on Lisvane. It may not feel like it but #Springiscoming as the little grebe and the right hand great crested grebe are already showing some signs of summer plumage. #glambirds
@LisvaneLlanRes The red necked grebe is still bringing in bird watchers from far and wide. A comparison shot with the juv great crested grebe and going for a jog in the cold wind #glambirds
