Dato interesante: el principio de vuelo del escarabajo de mayo es uno de los misterios más fascinantes de la naturaleza (spoiler alert: antigravedad) #Science
It is vital that we all echo this very relevant news. Dr. Egon Cholakian has been talking about this situation for a long time, and if it is not analyzed seriously enough, many people can be threatened. Please don't ignore this call.
- generadores atmosféricos de agua que pueden limpiar el océano;
- tecnologías de desgasificación capaces de prevenir erupciones de supervolcanes;

Creative Society President spoke on National Security threats at the Amnesty International Annual Meeting 2025
In a powerful address at the Amnesty International Annual Meeting 2025, Olga Schmidt, president of the Creative Society, revealed alarming details of systematic persecution against Creative Society and ALLATRA volunteers in Russia and worldwide by the FSB agents, which began in 2015 in Russia when they presented scientific research about the Siberian magma plume on Russian territory.
Olga Schmidt detailed that seven former volunteers are currently imprisoned in Russian jails, subjected to torture and ongoing criminal investigations, solely for their scientific research and volunteer work with Creative Society and their partner organization ALLATRA.
According to accounts from the former volunteers of the Creative Society and ALLATRA organizations who have fled the Russian regime, during interrogations, FSB officers told them: "You shouldn't have talked about the climate."
"In Russia, the truth has become dangerous," Olga Schmidt stated, calling for international attention to protect scientific research and freedom of expression.

At the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, Bouchra Belhaj Abdallah—an environmental expert and member of Riyadh's Scientific Council—outlined critical strategies for addressing climate change in an exclusive interview with ALLATRA TV:
- Developing integrated approaches to tackle biodiversity loss, desertification, and climate change under the framework of the Rio de Janeiro Convention.
- Utilizing innovative technologies, such as Tunisia’s “Cumulus,” which generates drinking water from air, to combat drought..
- Leveraging science and technology to improve water accessibility, especially in resource-scarce regions across Africa.
- Prioritizing climate disaster preparedness plans to reduce the risk of widespread damage.
Ms. Abdalla stressed the importance of uniting global efforts, collaborating to find solutions, and implementing advanced technologies to reduce regional vulnerabilities and enhance resilience to shifting environmental conditions.
Discover why strategic planning and coordinated actions are vital for mitigating the impacts of the escalating climate crisis.

🇵🇪 Unusual Waves Hit the Coast of Peru
🌊 On December 27, 2024, the northern and central coasts of Peru were struck by unusual waves reaching heights of up to 6 meters. Among the hardest-hit areas were the coastal zones of Mancora, Lobitos, El Ñuro, Cabo Blanco, and other towns.
‼️ The powerful waves destroyed piers, damaged dozens of boats, and posed a significant threat to coastal infrastructure. In response, the General Directorate of Port Captaincies and Coast Guard decided to close 81 ports across the northern and central coasts of the country.
Authorities warn that storm surges continue, and residents are urged to avoid going to sea and follow safety recommendations.

🔴Methane emissions rose faster in past 5 years than any other period on record
🔴Tropics identified as main source of methane surge, driven by wetlands
🔴Methane cuts beyond 30% pledge may be needed to meet climate goals, scientists warn
👀🌐 BAKU, Nov 17 (Reuters) - The world's warming tropical wetlands are releasing more methane than ever before, research shows — an alarming sign that the world's climate goals are slipping further out of reach.
A massive surge in wetlands methane — unaccounted for by national emissions plans and undercounted in scientific models — could raise the pressure on governments to make deeper cuts from their fossil fuel and agriculture industries, according to researchers.
Wetlands hold huge stores of carbon in the form of dead plant matter that is slowly broken down by soil microbes. Rising temperatures are like hitting the accelerator on that process, speeding up the biological interactions that produce methane. Heavy rains, meanwhile, trigger flooding that causes wetlands to expand.
Scientists had long projected wetland methane emissions would rise as the climate warmed, but from 2020 to 2022, air samples showed the highest methane concentrations in the atmosphere since reliable measurements began in the 1980s.
⏰ At the end of 2024, our planet enters the 12,000-year cycle. We as humanity are not ready for this, neither scientifically, nor technically or in terms of morality and humaneness. But we still have a little bit of time left to curb the climatic Cerberus.... 🌀
‼️ It is necessary to create conditions to unite all our scientific potential, but this is a task of each of us. The participation of every person is important!‼️

🇮🇩 | 🌋 Epic Eruption of Mount Lewotobi (Indonesia, November 2024)
Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki, located on Indonesia's Flores Island, resumed its activity in December 2023 after nearly two decades of dormancy. The volcano entered an especially intense phase in November 2024, marked by several explosive eruptions. These eruptions triggered deadly pyroclastic flows (a fast-moving mixture of gas, ash, and debris), ashfall, and towering ash plumes, leading to significant disruptions to air traffic in the region.
According to Landsat satellite data, the height of the volcanic plume on November 13, 2024, was 1,200 meters — relatively low compared to earlier events. For instance, the plume reached 17,000 meters on November 7 and 15,000 meters on November 9.
