@123lmnoptuv I like her definition as well. Thinking about the consequences of one’s actions and seeing how they affect others is not often seen in society. Especially in the self care culture, where people act selfishly and justify it in the name of “self-care” #sp22

I tend to agree with Young in that all poverty is not either personal responsibility or structural injustice but some poverty can be a mixture of both. #SP22

But if a structural approach is taken to fix it it would ignore the personal responsibility issue that that sort of poverty is rooted in as well. #SP22

I think it’s interesting how Young points out that it’s a misleading idea that people can be insulated and independent of the actions of others, when that is clearly not the case. #SP22
