[Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @MayorofLondon]

An important reminder today for Londoners: our city is—and will always be—for everyone.

We will always be pro-women, pro-diversity, pro-climate and pro-human rights.

These are some of the values that will continue to bind us together as Londoners.

Maxilla Gardens is an oasis of calm in the heart of a busy inner London neighbourhood. @MayorofLondon funded it because all Londoners deserve green space to boost their wellbeing. Thank you @Tayshan62 @gtkworld for leading this fantastic project for Londoners @metecoban92

[Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @MayorofLondon]

Earlier I visited the West Reservoir and Woodberry Wetlands in Hackney today to see how our investment has cleaned up the 19th century reservoirs.

Local communities now have a wetland nature reserve and a place to swim, sail boats and paddle kayaks.

[Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @MayorofLondon]

London’s rivers and waterways should be clean enough to swim in.

Today, I’m launching work to develop an ambitious plan to get us there in ten years.

[Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @MayorofLondon]

We’ve made huge progress cleaning the air. Now it’s time we clean up our rivers.

In Hackney they’re showing how it can be done – bringing together campaigners, the council and ecologists to make the water cleaner for everyone.

🌳Today @MayorofLondon planted trees at Garratt Park School alongside some of his Young Ambassadors to help make their school a greener, shadier, healthier place. This brings the number of trees the Mayor has funded for London to half a million! #NationalTreeWeek

1. Through @mayoroflondon’s Green and Resilient Spaces Fund, we’re supporting brilliant projects, including the transformation of @BeckenhamPark, which will help ensure all Londoners have access to great green spaces close to where they live.

[LDNMayor Environment @LDN_environment]

@MayorofLondon @BeckenhamPark 2. This morning @sabrodrigues61 visited @BeckenhamPark to celebrate the start of construction on the east side of the park, alongside key partners @Lewishamcouncil, @EnvAgencySE & @Thames21. We are excited about the transformation!

[LDNMayor Environment @LDN_environment]

Did you know? London’s trees provide at least £133M of benefits each year in terms of air pollution removal, carbon sequestration & reducing the amount of water going into drains. See what we are doing to enhance & expand our urban forest #NationalTreeWeek https://t.co/zTltGD3Fhh
