@BetterBooch You include delivery box insert that says, “Every part of this package is recyclable. Scan QR code on reverse for instructions and more!” When I did that, there’s no clear next step to find recycling info and none to be found navigating your page. Where’s this info?
If this was about babies, there would be universal healthcare. Free education. Free daycare. Southern states would be doing all they can to drop the Black maternal mortality rate. This is about power and control
@GrammarGirl So it just lost a letter on its way to becoming "fulfill" instead of being created by adding a prefix that means "full of". Ok! I suppose "full of fill" doesn't make a lot of sense. Thank you! You rock!
@GrammarGirl Help! Editing a document for K-12 ed that teaches prefixes and suffixes. A writer marked ful- as a prefix, like in "fulfill". I've only ever seen it defined as a suffix, like in "plentiful". Can ful- also be a prefix? Or is something else happening in "fulfill"?
@OceanPlasticWeb@PlastispherePod Why are we focusing on ocean clean up (ultimately ineffective) instead of reducing plastic production and holding the plastics industry accountable for their waste and pollution?
Reduce, reuse, recycle - right? But what does the first, most important R (reduce) refer to? @oareiaa argues we need to speak about and tackle plastic production at source, not just consumption. So far though, there seems to be little discussion to cap, slow or reduce production.
@RogueChieftan I don’t have anything to add except I wish this thread had existed when I was creating my prelim exam lists! Such an amazing list of recs. Thanks for prompting this thread.

@BeckyBlank@UWMadison This is an aspect of campus culture that is completely (intentionally?) overlooked by these reopening plans: https://t.co/6HbHH6NRjT
@BeckyBlank to press: I actually think that there’s going to be some sense of camaraderie (of) being in this together. If we can create that type of culture on campus, we will get people to follow the health protocols and to respect each other in a way that keeps everyone healthy.
