@lightningclare other translators just call the area an effect occurs in a "domain", why add "field" to it? it literally means the same thing in this context. just keep it to domains (where mahito gets ya or miwa cuts ya) + barriers enclosing them. simple, intuitive, correct.

your juxtaposition is deliberately bad lol. just say open vs closed domain. open domains have barriers and closed domains don't. barrier is a good word.

@theshinymewtoo @lightningclare i think the only example where "barrier" describes something incorrectly might be tengen's stuff, but i can't remember off the top of my head if those were called barriers.
tldr, there are domains and barriers enclosing, in ALL cases "domain"/"barrier" techniques are mentioned
