@jimmyadam120@Sulkalmakh The Andamanese and Pacific Islanders say otherwise. They are proof that kinky hair was part of the base human phenotype when we left Africa.
@eezh_h@EritreaLuv Absolutely. The Khoi San and Pygmies are also different versions of black. I never said Nilotes were exact matches for Ancient East Africans. Just that they are probably the closer than Cushites which has an Ancient Eurasian component in there as well.
@eezh_h@EritreaLuv The climate difference between one part of East Africa to the next isn't significant enough to change phenotype that dramatically. Unlike Cushites, Nilotes don't carry non-African lineages. So their phenotype is closer to the Ancient East Africans than Cushites. That's the point.
@BarySwn12763@KyleMcCordMuse@properbased@SankofaMarxist Cite the page. Cause I read Al-Jahiz and he made it very clear that he considered the Arabs to be part of the black race. That's why the book is entitled "The Glory of the Black Race." There are different types of black and Arabs were one of those types of black back then.
@Thats_asthcs@RasHabeshaa Why would this matter to you as a non-black male? Okay let's say black men aren't attracted to their own women. So what? If you're not a black woman why should this matter to you? To me this screams fear of having to compete with black men for non-black women.
@EritreaLuv@eezh_h You tried to argue there was something special about having Ancient East African DNA. Reality is the Nilotic speaking tribes in South Sudan carry it too. So there's nothing special about it. We diverge from the Nilotes phenotypically based on our Eurasian ancestry not African.
@usc_4@AfricaFirsts There's no evidence he's anything other than Egyptian. His name is Maiherpri. His position was fan bearer to the Pharoah. That was the closest advisor to the Pharoah. Highly unusual the Pharoah would put a foreigner as his closest advisor.
@eezh_h@EritreaLuv Nilotic tribes carry it as well. The difference is we carry an Ancient Eurasian component that they don't carry hence the difference in phenotype. No different than how Cape Verdeans carry a European component other West Africans don't carry hence the difference in phenotype.
@eezh_h@EritreaLuv Ancient East African is also carried by the Dinka and other Nilotic tribes. Its a black phenotype no different than West African. When you mix both with a certain percentage of Eurasian DNA you get a similar mixed phenotype.
@MoVagabond@AnkhEAMM@TheWavyRedd If you're referring to the Fayum portraits, those are from the era of Greek rule of Egypt called the Ptolemaic period. And those aren't native Ancient Egyptians but we're instead descendants of the ruling Greeks mixed with some native Egyptians. You need to study this topic more.
@AnkhEAMM@TheWavyRedd Well if you are Christian the Bible says it too. The Ancient Egyptians (called Mizraim in Bible) were said to be descendants Ham. Ham being Noah's son who birthed the black race according to the Biblical tradition. Nubia (called Cush in the bible) was the oldest son of Ham.
@BarySwn12763@KyleMcCordMuse@properbased@SankofaMarxist Your own Arab scholars from the 9th century tell us the Arabian Peninsula was filled with native black Arab tribes. Go read Al Jahiz's book "The Glory of the Black Race". He lays it all out in Arabic for you.
@ThtBoyVonte@pinkfolkrsoft@FastbreakHoops5 Not really. Kobe fans don't mention LeBron every time somebody mention a failure of Kobe's. We just defend him. However, every time LeBron's failures are mentioned it's always "but what about Kobe". An implicit admission by Bron stans that they think Kobe is his superior.
@pinkfolkrsoft@FastbreakHoops5 Bron stans always got Kobe on their mind. When Kobe shot bad he still put pressure on the defense and opened things up for his teammates. That's a huge difference from playing scared which Bron did in 2011.
@MoVagabond@AnkhEAMM@TheWavyRedd You do know the Ancient Greeks left behind images of the people they called "Ethiopians"? Also don't forget the wooly hair part. It was just about skin color. They also noted the different hair texture "Ethiopians" had from everyone else.
@Jxs_b The Ancient Greeks 2000 years ago said the only indigenous people to Ethiopia (their name for the whole African continent) were black. They said the non-blacks on the continent were immigrants from places like Greece. They didn't consider anyone who wasn't black native to Africa.
@tantinemisandre That's only because men have different beauty standards than women. Men's hair texture isn't as important to our attractiveness as women's hair texture. Most men prefer long looser hair than is typical among black women. That's a reality whether we like it or not.
