Monday

I’m here to remind you that even though applications for the Japanese MEXT Scholarship Embassy Recommendation Route have ended, the University Recommendation Route is still ongoing at many Japanese universities.

[Prospee @Nigerian_nJapan]

🌸Prepare your documents early. Transcripts, certificates, Academic CV, recommendation letters, research proposal, etc.
🌸Send cold mails to potential supervisors
Once you get a supervisor, you’re 90% certain of getting the scholarship.

[Prospee @Nigerian_nJapan]

Here's what you need to do:
🌸 Identify Japanese universities that offer MEXT University Recommendation.
🌸Check the university's website for application guidelines and deadlines.
🌸Find a program that matches your academic background and research interests.

[Prospee @Nigerian_nJapan]

A lot of people don't know this, but MEXT has more than one application pathway.
If you missed the embassy route, then you can try the university recommendation route.
