@Akikun1124 Why do Japanese people care what a WESTERN company does with its characters. The producers, directors and sponsors all agreed to cast black people and yet Japanese people are bitching about it. Can you focus on your own movies and cartoons. White people done even care this much.
@csy_ot3@_Soul_Low Because men listen to them and most men are misogynistic. There’s a lot of non homophobic non misogynistic rappers, especially ones that women listen to. Mainstream rap is largely male dominated though and like I said most men worldwide are misogynistic
Hate when ppl feign ignorance as a way to absolve themselves of blame. Especially when it comes to anti-blackness. Like u have enough knowledge to make fun of black people but not enough to held accountable for it. Enough info to say a slur but also “omg I don’t know racism”
@CorgiSnoots@HankRashad@csy_ot3 Well you’ve heard it here now, I don’t think jpop/jrock is Japanese culture I also don’t think cpop is Chinese culture. I’m not the type to do double standard. If I went to a Culture festival and they started blasting travis Scott ass music I would be be confused and laughing
@Oooo267717 Do you see how quickly it was for me to search up what race created edm and how quickly I found out it has origins in the black gay community of Chicago. You guys are wilfully ignorant because you’re blinded by your dislike of black people.
@CorgiSnoots@HankRashad@csy_ot3 Jpop is not Japanese culture and j rock is not too. I don’t know why you’d think I would think that. I cannot imagine having a Korean cultural festival and all that’s playing is afrobeats but in Korean. How can you not see that that’s ridiculous??
@aiisicid@asbstkr You need to take a music history class if you deadass believe that jazz is a white genres. Why can’t some Koreans be normal about black people. Why do you guys always stoop to discrediting black genres and running to use white people in your arguments. Weirdos
@fntsty_wlrd@chichi11592252 Koreans instead of providing an argument just resort to blatant racism. This is why we don’t want you using our music genres, you lack fundamental respect for black people and yet insist we must share our culture with you. You want our rhythm but don’t want our blues.
@CorgiSnoots@HankRashad@csy_ot3 Then how can kpop be part of Korean culture and why are they angered by black people saying kpop has been heavily influenced by black music genres. Saying things like cutesy, bouncy songs found in kpop is unique to kpop when it’s not?
@1029384756_w@HankRashad@csy_ot3 Then why do you guys claim you created it and that’s part of Korean culture. I can buy a Gucci bag and maybe resell it but to say I created it is ridiculous and an insult to the designer. That’s what some Koreans do with kpop.
@CorgiSnoots@HankRashad@csy_ot3 Nobody saying kpop is uniquely evil but the fact that kpop is dubbed by Koreans as part of Korean culture is laughable. A genre based on stealing cannot hold itself up as cultural and when you do that you erase all credit to the owners of the genres it’s “inspired” from.
@1029384756_w@HankRashad@csy_ot3 SM town literally was inspired by Motown records, why are you so scared to say that kpop was heavily influenced by black music genres.
@1029384756_w@HankRashad@csy_ot3 Your understanding of black music genres is severely lacking. We didn’t just create jazz, hiphop and rnb. The new Jackson swing that all your cutesy kpop groups use is also a black genres. Please take a music history class…
@CorgiSnoots@HankRashad@csy_ot3 But even your list of multiple influence doesn’t make sense. Jpop was also inspired by black genres? Idol culture is literally rooted in black group culture founded long before Kpop. So the uniqueness lies in its stealing of multiple genres of music?
@CorgiSnoots@HankRashad@csy_ot3 You genuinely have not explained what makes it unique though, like what makes it a “kpop” sound besides the fact that it’s sung in Korean.
@HankRashad@1029384756_w@csy_ot3 Literally nothing but that’s its sung in Korean and performed on music bank. If you listen to lessarfim smarter and then any of Tyla or amapiano artist, it’s literally the exact same formula but in korean. Nothing unique about it
