The audience funnel starts with the everyday 9–5ers the people who genuinely want to learn the game, understand what it takes to improve, and use competitive gaming as a form of personal growth. They’re the foundation of the ecosystem.
The Challengers scene, however, represents the 1% of the players who have moved beyond simply playing the game and are actively pursuing it at a professional level. They’re competing for recognition, opportunities, contracts, and ultimately a place at the highest level of the esport.
That distinction is what makes Challengers so important: it’s the bridge between the millions who play competitively and the select few who are willing to dedicate themselves to becoming professionals.
