@Nachez98 Those stupid people in these replies seem to forget that half the grid DNFโd due to mechanical issues. The AMs weren't the fastest, but they were the only ones reliable enough to finish. Points are scored on Sunday, not by pure pace in qualifying. Step by step
@antihondaF1@Marcelitus1488@WatanabePutero@FernandoAlonsus A lot of things happen behind closed doors and we don't know what is going on, so we cannot jump to hasty conclusions. Remember when Newey said they have the 5th best chassis?
@antihondaF1@Marcelitus1488@WatanabePutero@FernandoAlonsus Unfortunately, this is the result when you don't have a serious Team Principal like Horner to set some limits for Newey and keep him from getting too carried away with the aerodynamic design.
@antihondaF1@Marcelitus1488@WatanabePutero@FernandoAlonsus Furthermore, Honda's ICE is identical in design to the previous 2021-2025 one, meaning the same materials and proportions. Where they were better and break Mercedes' dominance was in the MGU-U component (saddly they remove it) and the fast charging of the battery.
@antihondaF1@Marcelitus1488@WatanabePutero@FernandoAlonsus The only difference is that at Toro Rosso, the gearbox was good and reliable, synchronizing perfectly with the engine without any problems, whereas Aston Martin's has many issues. If the gearbox cannot handle the engine's power, how can you gain speed?
@Marcelitus1488@WatanabePutero@FernandoAlonsus if you look at their results from 2024 onwards. Thank God the truth came out that the chassis and the gearbox are the main reasons the team looks so bad. On the engine side, the situation is roughly similar to that of 2018 at Toro Rosso (not great, not terrible)
@Marcelitus1488@WatanabePutero@FernandoAlonsus Do you think I was happy when Honda signed a partnership agreement with Aston Martin? I knew from the beginning that this project wouldn't end well at all, because Aston Martin is not a championship-caliber team and they are incredibly awful and amateurish.
