@ListerLawrence @Jalopnik An acquaintance has a Kia Nero EV and commutes from Preston to Old Trafford 4 days a week and charges it at home once a week. His wife though has a Mini EV and the range is only 100 miles.

I would have an EV but still too pricey for me.

@Kris__Mills @BellaBaddie__ Not any more, all EV’a are auto and I don’t think Honda have sold a manual box car since around 2019 (so the sales chap told me). Most large Audi/BMW/Range Rover type cars are auto too. I bought an DSG auto Kia this time around as I am either on a motorway or in town.

@history99917180 Paper round from 11 to 15, 6 miles every day then worked in a shoe factory from 15 to 19 every holiday unti I left college and moved away from home to start work at British Leyland at Cowley

@ambergambler_ I have done it a couple of times and found it difficult at night. I have eaten early then gone and sat on the balcony with a glass of something, music and a book. I hope it levels out for you.
