The other common trading mistake I have seen over and over again in all my years of being a trader and running a brokerage is over-trading and revenge trading.
Sometimes, the best trade is the one you don't take.
This is why we launched Kill Switch. If you get the urge to keep trading, you can enable it, and you won't be able to place trades for the rest of the day.
See the link in the comments to know how to use it.

Thanks for the reply.
To clarify, we're not asking for any margin benefit, so peak margin regulations aren't really relevant to this request.
What many option traders miss is the ability to enter with a predefined SL and Target in a single click. In fast-moving contracts, manually placing protective orders,GTT, after entry can be costly.
Also, third-party platforms are already able to offer similar full-margin workflows through the Kite API. If the infrastructure can support it via the API, perhaps a native Kite implementation could be reconsidered.
Many of us would happily pay for it as an advanced execution feature. 🙏@zerodha

A humble request from intraday option traders:
Please consider bringing back Bracket Orders for Options, even without any margin benefit or with an additional margin buffer if required.
The biggest advantage isn't leverage—it's execution.
Being able to enter a position with a predefined Stop Loss and Target in a single click helps reduce errors, improves risk management, and is especially useful during fast market moves.
Many traders would gladly accept the current margin requirements if the execution convenience could return. 🙏
Journal Entry — Weekly Expiry
Date: 09 Jun 2026
Instrument: NIFTY Options
Setup: OI Wall
P&L: +₹47,833.50
Kill Switch: ON
Market opened exactly at a key resistance zone — PDH and the lower boundary of the 23300 OI Wall around 23270.
As per standard protocol, As price was unable to gain acceptance above the OI wall and
rotated back toward previous zones to build strength. That rejection made the PE idea work well early in the session.
With weekly expiry and a red day Yesterday
extra cautious.
OI walls are decision zones

—
I consider most of my profits in trading a luck factor more than my inputs.
My real effort and real test is managing loss days and keeping them under check.
If I can do that consistently, the lucky days eventually accumulate.
That's all trading has come down to for me.

Reminder From The Journal —
Losses after a disciplined day never hurt or annoy you.
It's the other days — the ones where you break your rules — that stay with you.
Sometimes even a profitable day without discipline can't give the satisfaction that comes from simply doing the right thing, irrespective of the outcome.
In trading and in life, peace comes from the process, not the result.

Setup: Mixed Day
P&L: -₹39,829
Kill Switch: ON
- nothing much to complain about. Played as per the regular plan.
- Turned out to be a tricky session for me.
- Missed a few good trades later in the day because I was already done for the day.
- Felt protecting discipline was more important than taking one more trade.
Reminder:
There will always be another setup tomorrow. Discipline doesn't need to catch every move.
Day:
Disciplined.
Reminder From The Journal —
Price moves from Point A to Point B in legs, not in a straight line.
Most option buyers focus on catching the entire move.
But options don't always reward the entire move.
A call bought at the start of a trend and held until the end can sometimes give less profit than expected — even when price moved exactly as anticipated.
Because trends are built in phases:
Expansion → Pullback → Expansion → Pullback
HH-HL in an uptrend.
LL-LH in a downtrend.
Each new expansion leg creates a fresh opportunity for option buyers.
The job is not to catch the whole trend.
The job is to identify the start of a new leg, ride the expansion, and get paid before momentum dries up.
Then wait for the next leg.
A trend may be one move for a spot trader.
For an option buyer, it is often a series of separate expansion opportunities.
Repeat until structure changes.
No CHoCH.
No reason to fight the trend.

5/5
We spend years learning to read charts.
Then the market finally moves exactly how we predicted... and our option buying trades still don't perform.
It's frustrating. But it happens because predicting direction and executing options are two entirely different skills.
The only way I know to learn this is observing it daily and journaling it down

🧵 Option Buying Beyond Direction
1/5
I used to think mastering price action is the final Stage.
For option buyers, it’s just the beginning of learning.
Once you figure out direction, the real game shifts to learning premium behavior and execution.
Same market. Same direction.
Completely different P&L outcomes.
4/5
Scenario C: The counter- play.
Price bounces. Calls spike. Puts get absolutely crushed.
Suddenly, the upward momentum stalls.
Calls are extended, but Puts are now trading at a deep discount.
Instead of chasing the expensive Call, a quick Put scalp on the minor pullback offers an insane risk-to-reward ratio.
Same market. Same direction. But the real money was made fighting the crowd.
