Ignoring the calls from around the world and from many Pakistanis for negotiations to resolve their differences with its neighbor, once again #Pakistan has attacked #Afghanistan, again killing and injuring many. I have consistently condemned Pakistan's killing of innocent Afghans. I do it again today. I also point out that Islamabad has not responded to the many ideas and proposals that the Taliban government has said they agree with. But now, in the face of the ongoing total lack of any constructive effort or response from Pakistan, I think it’s time to ask: does Islamabad even want a settlement? Is this conflict, on Islamabad's side, even about what it claims? Or does the Pakistani establishment in fact have other objectives? What might they be? An unstable Afghanistan? Is the Pakistani establishment being rewarded by China to create circumstances that make Afghanistan susceptible to increased Chinese influence? Or both. If these are Pakistani objectives, they undermine US interests: increased instability will likely lead to increased safe haven for anti-US terrorists especially ISIS-K. Increased Chinese influence in Afghanistan pose a geopolitical challenge. If these are actual Pakistani objectives it’s no surprise that the Pakistani establishment does not articulate them publicly. @POTUS@DCIARATCLIFFE #Qatar #SaudiArabia #Turkiye #USA #UnitedKingdom #Uzbekistan #Kazakistan #Turkmenistan #Kyrgyzstan #Azerbaijan #Iran #India #Russia #Germany

Zero comments from Zalmay when Afghan Taliban terrorists killed 20 women protester.
But whenever Pakistan strikes TTP camps, he spreads propaganda and fake civilian casualty claims.
People like him are real reason Afghans continue to suffer under Taliban oppression.
Pakistan has attacked Afghanistan again. According to media reports many civilians including children were killed. I condemn this attack as I have condemned previous attacks killing civilians. This kind of violence will not resolve the problem between the 2 countries: the allegations by Pakistan that Afghanistan provides sanctuary and support for TTP and the allegations by Afghanistan that Islamabad provides sanctuary and support for ISIS-K. What is needed is a negotiated agreement in which the two sides commit to not allow their territory to be used by groups or individuals to threaten the security of the other, with monitoring by a trusted third party. Pakistan's current policy is a failure. It is past time for serious negotiations and diplomacy. #Afghanistan #Pakistan #Qatar #Turkiye @DCIARatcliffe #India #SaudiArabia #UAE

Saad Mohseni, owner of Tolo TV, has recently stated that the situation in Afghanistan is “normal,” claiming that women in major cities can go out without covering their faces and can even drive.
He also said that most Taliban leaders send their daughters to school. However, he did not explain where these schools are located???
But Afghan Girls’ and women banned from schools and universities education remains restricted in Afghanistan.
These remarks come at a time when Afghan girls have been deprived of secondary education for more than 1,700 days, and this situation continues to affect millions of lives.
Since 15 August 2021, many women have also been restricted from work and public life, with increasing limitations on their participation in society.
Even this morning reports from Herat indicate that several women were recently arrested by Taliban for not covering their faces, which has raised further concern about women’s freedoms in the country.
Saad Mohseni, as the owner of Tolo TV, is seen by some observers and his media benefits as shaping a media narrative that presents a more “normal” picture of the situation, which raises questions about how the realities faced by millions of Afghan women and girls are being represented.
United Nations and other international media and organizations reports highlight serious concerns about women’s access to healthcare, education, gender apartheid, child marriage, including maternal services, where shortages and barriers continue to create serious risks. These challenges are putting the lives of mothers and newborns at risk, and they also reflect a wider humanitarian impact affecting women and girls across the country.

This is the Taliban firing directly at protesters in Herat today, killing one person and injuring 32 others. The protesters took to the streets against the arrests of women in Herat.
