Horrified to see the images from New Delhi of the LoP, @rahulgandhi, being manhandled and dragged off to detention. At a time when Indian democracy is being ravaged by the disenfranchisement of 130 million voters, to protest is to stand with every citizen whose constitutional rights are being violated. The government’s reaction is disgraceful.

Because of a commitment made to a conference in Berlin four months ago, I can only express my solidarity from afar. But this 👍🏼is where my heart is. Justice will prevail!!

@Sachingupta Seen lot of trucks parked wrongly on the roadside, without any lights, reflectors. Many times trucks are driving without any rear lights, reflectors and so are not visible during night. Very dangerous when there are no light poles on the highways. Strict action should be taken.

@PuneDistrict This is approx 2.5 to 3 KM stretch - see how many horizontal roads intersecting the single road. There are no roads parallel to this road intersection these horizontal roads so that traffic could be distributed and diluted, thus avoiding load on this single road.

[Nikhil Shravane🌚 @NikhilShravane]

@PuneDistrict Poor town planning. Poor public transportation. Encroachment on roads. Considering the population, every road in India should atleast be of 4 lanes if not 6. Lack of connecting roads make it even more bizzare.

[Nikhil Shravane🌚 @NikhilShravane]

@ketanyduvanshi Slippery rods, even minor angle can lead to this. Infact rear brakes could also lead to the same result.

On Gandhi jayanti sharing the footage of Gandhiji's 1931 visit to London - shortly after he was on the Time magazine cover as the person of the Year - one of his three times on the cover of the magazine.

The Britishers are waiting in pouring rain to catch a glimpse of him.

When people are shivering in overcoats and hats, he is striding forth in sandals, bare head and bare knees to represent the people of his country.

https://t.co/WqmR1FODTR

Till date, more than 100 countries have statues Of him.

Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama and Martin Luther King junior have all spoken of him as their inspiration.

Albert Einstein famously wrote of Gandhi, "Generations to come, it may be, will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth."

And here is Kavi Pradeep's tribute to him 🙏 a song we grew up on
