Every humiliation and defeat CSK & CSK fans are facing this season has one major reason, Ruturaj Gaikwad and his ego. Last year, when there was no need, he batted in the middle order. This season, when CSK desperately needed stability there, he forced himself to open. Sanju needed an aggressive opener like Ayush Mhatre, not a slow anchor creating pressure every game.

At this point, Ruturaj doesn’t deserve to captain CSK, he doesn’t even deserve a spot in the XI. The sooner CSK moves on from him, the better for the franchise.

Ruturaj should step down. Honestly, work on your batting. Work with some mental conditioning coach. Get better, comeback. CSK can take a call in the mega auction. Just give your best in the next season with the bat. This patience game doesn't work. And where you are supposed to play your typical Ruturaj knock, you failed there as well. So it wasn't just about mentality, you failed overall.

I hope CSK as a team has a whole mentality shift. They say they're adapting and blah blah but I see no change in the general overall approach. 3 years under this cycle and it's been the same every year only with different players. Only the new one's who came into this team with zero influence of them started performing the way they did. Throw this defensive defeatist mentality in the garbage ffs and sack anyone necessary to make that happen.

Please hire better people to look after the players. Unreal number of injuries this season. The way they handled Ayush still boils my blood. There's no use in all of this if our key players keep missing out one game after the other. No place for incompetence anymore.

Rutu was so depressing the whole season. Had no clue what his intentions were. Almost everyone has evolved with the bat and he's still stuck in the good old day's. He's got one good year to improve and I won't be surprised if he finds himself in the auction if he doesn't.
