Tour de Aky raising money for 3 charities https://t.co/dviLKzESX6
On Saturday 17th July. Ben and myself are taking part in the Tour de Aky, in memory of Mick “Aky” Atkinson who sadly lost his battle to mental health in October 2018.

The event was started to raise awareness into mental health whilst also raising money for three chosen charities of MIND, YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE & MACMILLIAN CANCER SUPPORT.
Thank you for your support

Aky was a Police dog handler for North Yorkshire Police, and was a big character loved by many people and sadly missed.
This year we are going to be riding 106.6 miles (Aky’s police collar number 1066) around West and North Yorkshire.

Did you know: If you pull over for an ambulance and you get a ‘toot toot’ from the bull horn, that’s the crew saying thank you 😊 👍🏻 and if you get a long blast of the bull horn that probably means you need to use your mirrors more… 🚑😂 #Ambulance
After a few quiet months and some extra R&R than expected.
We are back!!
Mental health has been at an all time high especially with the current climate.
Let’s now suffer in silence or let someone we know suffer in silence

York Mind have an amazing support service and would like to invite people to use it with open arms. However Mind runs on donations to stay available.
So the YRUFC Women’s Annual Charity Event will be joining up with York Mind to turn York BLUE.
