I need to retweet myself because moments after I tweeted this, he was subbed off. There was 25 min left… but apparently that 25 minutes were rigged, and it was absolutely not because of poor coaching choices.

@fferreri9@usmntonly Political interference, the fact it was in the middle of a tournament, the fact that the decision was made one day before the actual match due to a political phone call. These are all factors that show corruption and that the way they went about it was incorrect.
@farhaaan7@usmntonly He stilled served a match and he wasn’t in the middle of a tournament. He served one more match than Balogun ☺️
Also, nothing against Balogun - great player and it’s unfortunate that he got caught up in the mess of your country’s leader and his cult members.
@TouchlineX … @CanadiensMTL had 9 shots against @TBLightning in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs and ended up winning and moving to the second round. That’s the beauty of sports - “sport” doesn’t care if you’re the better team.
@McBrideLawNYC I promise you every team other than USA wished the World Cup was not in your country. And I promise you many teams did not feel welcomed in your country. Get off your high horse.
@MadridPreeti I think if he feels this strongly about FIFA handing the cup to Argentina then he should really stand by this statement and not participate in 2030 should Egypt get “the call to participate.”
No-one is crying.
The whole World is merely pointing out that no red card has ever been rescinded mid-tournament, and that affording preferential treatment to a host nation whose president has already received a bogus FIFA peace prize, stinks of favouritism and corruption.
