JEFF BEZOS REVEALED WHY COMPROMISE IS ONE OF THE WORST WAYS TO RESOLVE A DISAGREEMENT.
“AN EXAMPLE OF A REALLY BAD WAY OF COMING TO AGREEMENT IS COMPROMISE.
IF I SAY THE CEILING IS 11 FEET AND YOU SAY 12 FEET, WE SAY LET'S CALL IT 11 AND A HALF.
THAT'S COMPROMISE.
THE ADVANTAGE OF COMPROMISE IS IT'S LOW ENERGY.
BUT IT DOESN'T LEAD TO TRUTH.
ANOTHER REALLY BAD RESOLUTION MECHANISM IS WHO'S MORE STUBBORN.
TWO EXECUTIVES DISAGREE, THEY HAVE A WAR OF ATTRITION, AND WHICHEVER ONE GETS EXHAUSTED FIRST CAPITULATES.
YOU HAVEN'T ARRIVED AT TRUTH, AND THIS IS VERY DEMORALIZING.
ESCALATION IS BETTER THAN A WAR OF ATTRITION.
ESCALATE TO YOUR BOSS AND SAY, WE CAN'T AGREE, WE LIKE EACH OTHER, WE'RE RESPECTFUL, BUT WE STRONGLY DISAGREE. WE NEED YOU TO MAKE A DECISION.
EXHAUSTING THE OTHER PERSON IS NOT TRUTH SEEKING.
COMPROMISE IS NOT TRUTH SEEKING.”
A 22-year-old intern fixed a bug that 3 senior engineers couldn't solve for 6 months.
Saved the company $2M. They gave him a $500 gift card and didn't convert him to full-time.
He posted the solution on GitHub. A startup saw it. Hired him at $140k.
The 3 senior engineers who couldn't fix it? They're still there. Still getting paid. Still breaking things.
Talent gets punished in corporate. Mediocrity gets protected. That's not a bug in the system that's the feature.
This honestly makes me really sad….
We as a society are exploiting people for our entertainment and profit ?
The world as a whole is becoming so degenerate or maybe I am too old
I will die on the hill that small private communities whether it’s a village, or Arts DAO or anything you vibe with
Will enrich your life more than constantly sorrounding yourself with people that think this is okay, especially if you are in our industry there is so much cool stuff being built go dm someone go meet people locally who are using our industry tech to build the future of tomorrow
Don’t let environments or companies that support this plaque ur mind
Just press Cmd + Shift + Ctrl + 3, then Cmd + V paste the screenshot directly into Grok Build and ask it to inspire, guide, explain, debug, or recreate what you want
It’s much easier to explain ideas visually instead of trying to type out every tiny detail manually
The workflow feels incredibly natural and easy once you start using images directly inside the development process
Grok is multimodal and already has surprisingly strong vision capabilities for understanding screenshots, UI, layouts, and visual context
In Italy, Charlotte de Witte threw a free 20,000-people rave in Genova. Organized by the City of Genoa supported by Mayor Silvia Salis, who was also dancing backstage, the event is part of a wider campaign to bring music back into urban spaces. This is what your government could do for you.
You could retire with $1M
- deposit $1M into DeFi
- earn around $7k-$8k per month
- move to Thailand or some shit...
- spend max $5k per month
- live peacefully like a king
- off-ramp through neobanks
- live off the yield tax-free
What's stopping you?
pretty crazy if true
tl:dr - hackers casually gained trust via irl conference meet, setup tg channel and became a customer, started building integrations over 6 months and then got one person with a testflight link to show off what they built
‘We can’t invest in America because we’re fighting wars’ is literally the opposite of what he ran on.
Biggest scam in modern political history, hands down.
Trump’s authoritarianism.
War in Iran.
A corrupt campaign system owned by billionaires.
Attacks on voting rights.
And an AI revolution with no guardrails.
We are living in dangerous times.
Here's how we go forward.
this is so fucking wholesome
guy used AI to save his cancer-ridden dog by sequencing its DNA and creating a CUSTOM cure.
the tech behind this is fucking awesome (well done @demishassabis and the google team):
- used CHATGPT to sequence dogs DNA discovers mutations
- ran the mutations through Google’s Alphafold (AI protein sequencer) which CREATED A CUSTOM VACCINE TO TREAT THEM.
- treated dog and reduced tumour by 50% in WEEKS. dog is alive and well.
- this is the 1st time AI has been used to create a custom vaccine for a dog (and it worked)
- dude is now working on similar vaccines for humans using AI!
2026 is definitely the year we see AI change personalised medicine in a HUGE way
so sick
nobody accidentally swaps $50M into a pool with $36K of liquidity lol. fresh wallet, $50.4M from Binance, zero slippage protection, routed through the jankiest Sushiswap path possible. and then an MEV bot just happens to flash borrow $29M from Morpho in the same block and pocket $9.9M?
cmon. 0xngmi called this exact play a year ago - construct a deliberately terrible swap, let a friendly bot extract the value, dirty money comes out the other side as "legit MEV profit."
$154K per AAVE isn't a fat finger. it's a laundering fee
The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with limited knowledge or competence in a specific area greatly overestimate their own abilities. Conversely, highly skilled individuals often underestimate their relative competence, assuming tasks that are easy for them are similarly easy for others.
