Chelsea signed Rogers for €140m while his market value was €80m, Man City signed Anderson for €135m while his market value was €75m, and Spurs signed Tonali for €110m despite his market value also being €80m. There are countless other examples.
It's extremely rare nowadays for a player to be signed for a fee close to their market value unless their contract is close to expiring.
Meanwhile we managed to sign Gordon for €10m below his market value despite him still having four years left on his contract. And there are still people complaining about it...
🚨🎖️| Adeyemi told Jorge Mendes "Let me go to Barcelona. I don't want to go to England. I don't care about other clubs.
I don't care about signing a new contract at Dortmund. My dream is Barcelona. Bring me to Barcelona." [@FabrizioRomano] #fcblive 🔵🔴
Just realised that Rodri didn’t even win a single man of the match award for Spain during his World Cup run, he had 0 goals and 0 assists and won the player of the tournament, imagine this was Messi, he would need to be shipped out of earth for safety 😭
