ELI5: Moderna made a cancer vaccine that is custom for every person.

Doctors read the DNA of your tumor, find what makes it unique, then make an mRNA shot that teaches your immune system, “Attack cells that look like this.”

They combine it with Keytruda, a drug that helps stop cancer from hiding from your immune system.

It just succeeded in a Phase 3 melanoma trial.

Not a cure for all cancer. But a pretty huge idea if it works for other cancers too.

@bdefreitas21 @jjcoop36 I read it. And while it says “such and such pitch measured at such and such height” it only references the in game graphic in terms of where these measurements are being taken. Which we know the in game graphic is clearly at the catch point.

@bdefreitas21 @jjcoop36 Whatever obscure “tech” that is I’d beside the point to me. Baseball is a game of umpires setting a strike zone and pitchers adjusting to it. From what I watched that ump had a slightly low zone and was consistent with it. Sorry it didn’t match up exactly to the tv graphic
