Cash spends. Recognition compounds. The Tesla Grand Prize pairs $1,000 with a hand-sculpted Tesla statue and a Tesla portrait, tangible proof your work was honored at a festival built on visionary thinking. We’ve seen what that kind of credibility can do in grant applications, distribution pitches, and funder conversations.

Our second year is open for submissions across nine award categories. Screenings run alongside interactive exhibits, speaker sessions, and networking in Las Vegas, with rare IMAX 70mm presentations through our Brenden Theatre partnership. But the main award is being announced soon, the one that can change trajectory of your film career. Stay tuned 🎬

Las Vegas was built by people who bet on ideas everyone else called impossible. That's the same instinct that drove Tesla, and it's why we think this city belongs in the conversation about innovation cinema.

We're in our second year at the Nikola Tesla Film Festival, and we're looking for filmmakers and students who reinvent form, not just subject. Submissions are open, and the desert is waiting. Tell us what bold idea you'd bet on.

Constraint as Creative Engine for Short Films:
Limits don’t shrink great filmmaking. They sharpen it. Our short film category is where tight runtimes force bold, inventive choices, and where some of the festival’s most concentrated innovation lives. Every frame has to earn its place, and we’re always excited to see what filmmakers do with that pressure.

Some of this year’s boldest short experiments are still under wraps. If you’re making short work that pushes the form, we’d love to see it. Submit your film and bring your electric ideas to the Nikola Tesla Film Festival in Las Vegas.
