Fucking ridiculous news about Olise. He will become the signing of the season for whoever gets him. Shocking from the ownership. When people tell you who they are, believe them.
My little lad is 9. He’s just asked me how good this fella was. So I told him. The Speed of Mbappe, the Skill of Messi and the finishing of Cristiano. He was untouchable. None compare.
@Mike_RMCF (2/2) BUT the metric for achievements is different. CL qualification is a pre-defined metric. They’re celebrating that, not ultimate success. For Bologna CL qualification is worthy of celebration. It increases their chances of being successful. Serie A isn’t the PL financially.
@Mike_RMCF (1/2) I think you’re making a mistake here. You’ve conflated success and achievements.
You’re absolutely correct, the metric for success is pre-defined - 1st place wins the competition, everyone else loses. Only 1st place is ultimately successful.
@SebC__ I like Josh a lot but it feels like it’s either him or Gusto, not both… 9 assists in your debut season is pretty great. Doesn’t tell the full story of course, but I’m very undecided on which of the two we should commit to.
@QuislingT Correct. We’ve been shit the last two years. Nothing to celebrate or defend. But pretending 3 major trophies weren’t won by Chelsea after that tweet was made is disingenuous. Trophies matter, no?
@QuislingT Not true though is it?
Chelsea and Mount went on to win the CL after that tweet, and Chelsea then won the CWC and European Super Cup.
Fuck Mount though.
Liverpool only have three targets to succeed Klopp - Xabi Alonso, Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou.
Xabi prefers Bayern. No contact with Amorim yet. Ange has already been interviewed by Liverpool.
@OfficialBHAFC Funny seeing Brighton fans complain about Chelsea using their big club status to poach Potter, like Brighton didn't use their Premier League status to poach Potter from Swansea. It's part of the food chain, accept it.
People are worried about sacking Tuchel because he was so loved by the fans?
Please, this is Chelsea Football Club. We sacked prime Mourinho and replaced him with Avram Grant and then sacked Di Matteo 3 months after the CL win and replaced him with Rafa Benitez.
The signings look very poor now that Tuchel and his system are gone.
If we don’t play 3 at the back then who plays centre back? We need a proper DM so Zakaria becomes a must-start and he is a massive gamble.
Auba with no Tuchel….
Shambles.
I loved Tuchel, but 7 wins in the last 22 was hard to stomach and the issue is that we were playing better football under him a year ago…hard to stomach.
@Prim1877 Think he would suit the Chelsea of the last 10 years, true, but I don’t think he is the profile Boehly wants at all, and not the kind of football Boehly wants.
If we can’t grab Potter then I pray to God we don’t go for Pochettino. Absolute loser.
Potter is the right man and I am massively encouraged that Matt Law said he is the early favourite but I don’t think he will walk on Brighton…
