For me A’ja is not the best player. She is allowed to set illegal screens, fouls constantly, and always gets the whistle. Without this she is just a good player. 🤷‍♀️

Their season is over

This game was incredibly gettable, Vegas was vulnerable and they knew it, they knew they had home court, they knew they had the whistle, they resorted to anything and everything they could possibly do to disrupt the Fever and for the majority of the game it worked

We always knew they had the whistle, that's their entire game plan but this was egregious even for them

Fever ended the game shooting 38% from the field and 28% from 3 while winning essentially every other statistical battle (other than the score of course)

They scored only 83 points, far below their season average

And it was the Big 3 in what I would call a combination of fatigue and just not having it for the majority of the game

This is the second season in a row the Fever have taken the Aces to the absolute limit of limits and Vegas was just barely better

I have criticisms of this team - harsh criticism

I feel there are some very significant changes coming to this team in the offseason and in some ways perhaps losing this game and being eliminated in the 1st round was the best thing for them to convince them significant change is necessary

But for now I will admire their heart - they were absolutely DEAD more than once throughout the game but they came back and got within 2 with 2 minutes to go before bullshit non foul calls put the game out of reach - that decision to award Kelsey's free throws to Chelsea Gray was the game

Hats off to the 2026 Fever and hats off to Caitlin Clark

It will be a long winter without you
